Britt Pratt

Market Advisor
Cattle Risk Management

Britt Pratt is a fifth-generation cattlewoman with deep roots in Northeast Colorado. Raised on her family’s ranch and feedyard, she has been immersed in the cattle industry her entire life. Britt graduated from Colorado Christian University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Shortly after graduating, she realized her passion lay outside the classroom and returned home to join the family business.

That same year, Britt began managing office operations for McEndaffer Cattle Co., gaining hands-on experience in the operational side of the cattle industry. In May of 2011, she joined LaVaca Cattle Co. in Littleton, Colorado, working under Dan May, where she discovered her passion for the commodity markets. This experience launched her career in risk management and market analysis.

Britt later became the Risk Manager for McEndaffer Cattle Co. and has been actively trading commodities for more than 15 years. While she specializes in livestock markets, her expertise also includes farming operations, cattle procurement, corn buying, and distiller’s grains.

Britt and her husband, Morgan, own and operate Broken Arrow Land and Cattle in Northeast Colorado, where they run a cow/calf operation. They live just a mile from their family’s feedyard in Merino, Colorado, with their two sons, Walker and Hudson. Outside of work, Britt enjoys spending time with her family at Colorado Rockies games, cattle sales, and watching her boys on baseball diamonds throughout the summer.
