Wade Perks is a lifelong cattleman with deep roots in ranching. He grew up raising Hereford cattle on his family’s ranch (Perks Ranch) and continues that today with his In-laws Rocking Chair Ranch.
Wade is a graduate of Oklahoma State and Texas Christian University’s Ranch Management School, he has spent a majority of his career in the cattle industry. Beginning as a Field Representative for The Cattleman magazine. He later transitioned into the feedyard sector, managing risk for both cattle and corn and handling cattle procurement at Nortex Feedyard. Today, Wade brings that experience to his role at Blue Reef Agri-Marketing, where he helps producers navigate market volatility with strategic risk management solutions.
Wade is also an active leader in the ranching community. He serves as a Director for the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA), advocating for the interests of livestock producers across the region. He also serves on the board of the West Texas Boys Ranch and is incoming President of the Texas Hereford Association.
Wade lives in San Angelo, Texas, with his wife Brie and their two children, Loyd and Jade. Where they spend their time juggling between livestock shows, golf, and dance lessons. He wouldn’t have it any other way.
